My XXXmas plans are shaping up. I’m flying back home to The Hidden Valley (where Deli-Cat lives!) on December 14th for an extended stay. My kitty and I need some quality time together by the fireplace.

And as far as content is concerned (I know I’ve said this before), think Robert Frank-meets-Dirty Blonde: The Diaries of Courtney Love. I’m not half-assing it or holding much back. Some of the journal entries are pretty raw.  And the photos… well, there’s some old stuff, some new stuff, and some heretofore unseen stuff.

And yes, the image you see to your right is the final cover art.

It’s true.  I never thought I’d ever type these words, but The Darcys.  My Darcys.  They’re going to be here.

In less than three weeks!

I’m shaking as I type this.  I may cry.

And it’s not just one concert date, but TWO.  November 5th and 7th, which means they’ll be in town for a few days.

I’m flying to The Hidden Valley this morning (I’m coming, Deli-Cat!), touching down shortly before 10:00am PST. I’m leaving the laptop at home.

Back on Tuesday.

Why?

A few reasons. A) I’d like to put my Visa rewards credit toward a larger trip next summer (a month in London and Paris sounds good - I have the semester off); B) I kinda want to buy a TV and Blu-ray player in September or October; and C) Vegas maybe isn’t the best place for a gambling addict to go.

Big plans are shaping up for yours truly and The Darcys. I’d say more, but the precise details are still being worked out.
