Guess what, haters?
Look who I frolicked in the sun with today for a little photoshoot. That’s right! The Darcys!! All five of them!

Awwwww.
The whole thing went down just after noon today in Queen’s Park. I am pleased to say that The Darcys are all super-nice guys and exactly as I had imagined them. You know how sometimes you meet your idols and you’re disappointed? Well, not this time. If possible, I love them even more now.
I shot some digital today, but I also shot four rolls of film. Hopefully something in those rolls will turn out.

Cool!
Did you remember to shoot yourself posing with them this time?

No, I didn’t. Strange as it seems (to everyone else), I don’t feel compelled to be in the same shot as them. I’m content with meeting them and enjoying their company. That’s all that matters to me.
(Besides, I AM older than they are. How could I possibly look good in such a photo?)

You fail in your attempt at being an obsessed fan
Still cool that you met them though.

So, by your estimation, it’s odd for a fan to pose for a picture with entertainers he admires but it’s perfectly normal for an older man (in your words) to obsess over and semi-stalk younger men, taking candid photos of them after they’ve imbibed alcohol?
Sometimes I think there’s a greater cultural divide between the US and Canada than I’ve previously perceived.

Yes. Yes, that’s it. Exactly.

lol @ Brian…You know…Ryan did the same thing when we met the Tragically Hip (a Canadian band that are treated like gods up here). He didn’t have his picture taken with them…but me…I’ve got my arms around everyone of them that would let me! I wonder if Jason would let me hug him in a photo… PS Ryan…I really like this shot…will look forward to seeing the rest.
