I bought a bunk bed. Yes, really. Haven’t you seen those shows like This Small Space? They all tell you that - when faced with the limitations of a bachelor suite or loft - go vertical! My idea is to get some boxes and use the top bunk for storage, like a big shelf. I can keep all my research papers up there and not have them cluttered in a closet or corner. With the right box, they can become part of the suite!
Otherwise, it’s coming together. I still have about 5ft to play with along the same wall as the bookcase. Enough room for a small couch or loveseat. Hopefully, in the end, I will have created a comfortable workspace and a warm, inviting suite to host guests in. I already unpacked the martini glasses!

Ryan’s new pick up line “Wanna go back to my place and see my bunk bed…” Guaranteed to get you laid! Can I say laid on here? lol

Oh I like all the light coming in.

Yeah, it’s a pretty bright place. I’m fortunate I’m on the north side of the building. No direct sunlight - otherwise I’d bake in there!

If only you were gay, this would be perfect for delicately addressing that awkward top or bottom question.

Norton Anthologies… And that’s all I recognize from your bookshelf.

And that’s not even all the books yet!
Truth be told, I’ve actually downscaled my collection considerably since 2004. One needs a manageable amount of books. Moving a few times teaches you that.
