One of the new blogroll links in the sidebar is for The Digital Backpacker, a travel journal run by Christian David Holmes. Who is this Christian David Holmes, you ask?
In late 2007, I (Christian David Holmes) decided to quit my job, sell all of my stuff, get a backpack, fill it with only the essentials, and travel.
That pretty much covers it. And did I mention he’s only 17 years old?
Yes, really!
Anyway, I’ve chosen to live vicariously through him for a while, given that I’m tied to the rat-race for a solid year yet. Also, thanks to the wonders of PayPal, you can sponsor some of Christian’s specific activities along the way. Give him, say, $10 to go to a certain museum, and he’ll go. And then he’ll blog about it! Very cool. Sponsoring young Mr. Holmes is so much more satisfying than, say, gambling that $10 away on Keno. No it’s not. At the very least it’s good karma. And I need good karma.
Check out his site.

I was thinking… hmmm… he’s kinda cute! Then you had to go and tell me he’s 17… Do you think he would like an older woman!?!?!

Oh Ronda… didn’t you learn your lesson the FIRST time you were nabbed on NBC’s “To Catch a Predator”?!

You absolutely rock my friend. This is the coolest thing you could ever do for me. Thank you so much for this post, it really brightened my day.
I will be posting the review for the USS Midway as soon as I can, it was really kickass. In fact, it was the best museum I’ve seen in San Diego…so thank you very, very much for creating for me the ability to see it!
Wow…to comment on a post someone on another blog wrote about me…that’s something I never really thought would happen. Thanks for helping a dream of mine come true!
Talk to you later,
Christian David Holmes
